Whether for the RP or the boards as a whole, sound off here.

Not sure if this is possible, but it seems a bit odd to have the adds between the first and second posts of threads. Is there any control you have over this so that the adds can always be up at the top? I can't remember if there was from the short time I had a proboards message board, but I don't recall the adds being imbeded like that.

I'll look into it. I may also pay for their add free for a while. It goes for 7 dollars for 50,000 views so as long as it isn't every month or so, I can afford to do something like that.

A little bit of both. The history is based on the information that was given from the Disciples games; both their background and what transpired in the games. I rewrote it to be more cohesive and to address the games splitting arcs. I'm not sure if you ever played the game yourself, but each race does contradictory things in some cases, so I picked and chose mostly based on the Rise of the Elves storyline as it was the last update. The Silver City is completely my creation as is the Sanctuary of Gromdek. It is mostly designed to give players the example on how to create their own races.

What's the Sanctuary of Gromdek? Barrens and greenskins are neutral or orcs or other new unit?

Whoops, that should be Santuary of Grodah, in the Commonwealth of Gromdok. It is a greenskin race that is more civilized than many of the other Greenskin tribes. If this RP ever got off the ground, I thought it might try to ally itself with the Empire, mostly just to open some of the greenskin units to be hired. But ultimately it is an example of a created race. However Gromdok is a greenskin beast god that after Rise of the Elves looked like it was going to be the next expansion, but apparently it never panned out.

I am putting up the Denizens and the Commonwealth Leaders for people to select. Thanks to voivod for some of his suggestions on Denizen Leaders. Although I already had them written up, I liked his take on the Praetor and Philospher and added them in and edited the Archsiren to reflect to reflect his Naiad. Thanks.
I'll get the Commonwealth and Denizen skills up today also, but I might not have time to get the Marine and Wild spell lists up until next week.

Sorry, but my PM still won't work with my business computer. For people who want to start a new character after they have started one. Here are the rules. I understand that sometimes an idea isn't what you want. You can retire a character at anytime. That character stays in the RP world as an NPC and can be interacted with by any character that has either met the retired character or been o their city. However any interaction with that city is moderated. This is just so that players don't create a character, retire them, create a new character to kill them off and take there stuff. I am also going to knock the second character rule to two months, with option for a third at six.
Also the Marine and Wild spell lists are up. I'll try to work on the building lists as soon as I have a chance.

I've put up the information on the Judges, a quintet of gods and goddesses that rule over my final (maybe) lesser race called the Dynasty of the Sun. I'm not sure if I want to keep them, so tell me what you think, if they you like them, ant me to get rid of them, etc. Basically they are an Egyptian race that is both man and Garuda (a kind of hawkmen). Their warriors are pretty basic and straight forward, as is their guild men. Their mages have a twist in that there is two sides, one a basic mage, the other more similar to some of the Horde mages worshipping Anubis. However many of their spells don't use MP, and use HP instead. The final major branch is the Garuda which start as a weak warrior and can be molded into a strong warrior, guildsman, or mage. I might come up with a Dynasty character to see how they fit into the story, a sort of spy looking to assess what is happening with the Empire and the rest of Nevendaar. But I'd like to hear what others think first.

I'll try to give you a longer comment about The Judges, in the weekend. They sound good. And I would like to add Alk'nar (the alkmarian Sun God in the Desert Saga) to the list, if it's posible. L.E. : Oh, and check out the Sandburg topic, I've uploaded a sketch of how the Communal Palace in Sandbburg looks like. Link is in my signature

Alk'nar as a Judge or a lesser god? You are alwys welcome to add a lesser god, or even send me a history to give background to a created race or character, however I'm not sure how I could fit an extra Judge in. Four of the Judges each weigh an aspect of a human life. In ancient Egypt they were signified in four organs that were removed from the body during mummification and placed in separate jars. The were the brain (mind), the heart (heart), the liver (soul), and ... something else that escapes me for strength. as such I selected four Egyptian gods that could encompass each aspect Ra for strength (a hawk/sun-god), Bast for heart (a panther/woman-goddess), Thoth for mind (an ibis/magic-god), and Anubis for the soul (a jackal/death guardian-god). The only other goddess in the ix is Ma'at who weighed the organs (heart depending on the myth) against one of her feathers. If the organs weighed more then she tossed the person to Ammit (a crocodile demon) who devoured them, never to be seen again or allowed into their eternal reward. I'm not sure how Alk'nar could fit into that, perhaps as a rival god or another lesser god that is worshipped alongside. Let me know what you think.

They sound interesting for sure, nice to see the Empire purveyed as less than perfect. I'm not completely sure about the whole HP instead of MP thing, but It might work, partiularly as theres not a lot of PvP going on right now. I'd have to take a look to really be able to tell

Sorry for the late reply.
I like the idea of The Judges, the backstory and the worshipping people of the gods (Garuda & Humans). This can turn in a wonderfull lesser race, mysterious and enigmatic. With tons upon tons of rituals and rites. Introducing them as a single spy upon Imperial Nevadaar is also good. Maybe set at the beggining of Disciples 2, months before the start of the Second Great War. And he observes the drama that unfolded, perhaps written as a journal/report or diary.
As for Alk'nar, on a second read I don't think he could be part of The Judges. He however created the deserts in Nevadaar(taken from the Sandburg saga lore):
[Alk'nar]Was the one that helped Bethrezen create deserts in Nevadaar as Gallean raised forest, Sollonielle filled the oceans and Wotan raised the mountains. The story goes on to tell us that above the new land, freashly shaped by Bethrezen. Alk'nar and Wotan were wrestling for amusement. By chance and Wotans temper, the would be dwarven god used a celestial body to unbalance Alk'nar. He threw it with all his might and hit Alk'nar. But the latters godly flesh was divided by the celestial body and his golden blood spilled upon the land. It was not a fatal wound, a mear scratch, but enough to cover some parts of Nevadaar. And as the blood dried the deserts were born. Alk'nar, now the Golden Lord, accepted governorship over these new lands where he brought his children, the Alkmaarians to leave upon them.
[...] The Alkmaars lived peacefully in the golden land, south of the Merchants Sea. Worshiping the Golden Lord for the life they enjoyed. And so they began to build in his honor. Great stone temples floated onto the golden seas as the proof of the Alkmaars love for their god. Soon a desire grew from within the sand peoples hearts to give their god the finest things they could make. In his temples sacrifices were brought in lavish ceremonies. First it was only fruits, water and cloth in small community holidays. But then – the want, the desire to make things bigger, better and more elaborate pushed the sand people to organized large spectacles that ended with the sacrifice of many animals. His statues were decorated with precious metals but the Golden Lord didn’t care much about the offering, not at first. In the beginning he took the offerings because he felt that his children are happy making them and the happiness of his people was paramount to Alk’nars desire. But then the want that pushed his people in lavish ceremonies, somehow jumped from the Alkmaars to Alk’nar. The Golden Lord demanded more and even more. When he asked his people for the supreme sacrifice, the other gods of Nevadaar struck the Golden Lord with all their fury. Gallean and Solonielle then entombed his still living body into a prison beneath the sands. Seven tears from Solonielle were used to lock him until, they hoped, his madness would go away. Four were take to the four corners of the desert, one was give to the High Priest of the Alkmaars, one was embedded onto the door of the Prison and the last was placed inside the body of the Golden Lord. The tear in his body took his soul to a dream state, where his mind could be purified.[...]
I'm looking forward in seeing the Garuda/Human story.

sorry that I haven't been around the last few weeks. I am working on my Master's Degree and things are just hectic at the moment. I should be freed up by the end of this week and I'll be more active. I also like to give out holiday rewards for the season, so look for those next week as well.
