Your can also be a half-breed. But you must think of the consequences.
Considering how Nevadaar is. A world of constantly warring disciples, a half-breed would have a hard time fitting in a comunity. But if you want to writte about that, then go for it.
Also your party can be multi-raced, but again the same demand for attention. For example, your party is mainly imperial, but you have an elf with you. You have to explain why you have him with you. And don't really expect him to be greated in the human town and villages with open arms. Most of them refuse to serve any alliance characters. This is true if the situation was reversed, elf party-human member.
As an idea, you can create a comunity were elves and humans live to togeter, abhored at what their races are doing to each other. Or there could be hundred more concepts and plot stories to fit multi-raced parties. It only depends on your imagination.
